Pricing & Estimates
How does your pricing work? +

We charge an hourly rate. Before your move, Terry will talk through what you have, where you’re going, and give you a straight rate along with an honest time estimate. That rate doesn’t change from start to finish.

If the move takes longer than estimated because of additional items or logistics, you pay the same hourly rate for those extra hours. No overtime premiums, no mystery charges added at the end.

Are there any extra fees I should know about? +

Terry gives you a straight hourly rate and walks through what your move involves upfront. What you’re quoted is the rate you pay. Nothing appears on the final invoice that wasn’t discussed before the move started.

How do I get an estimate? +

Call Terry at (480) 466-2754 or fill out the estimate form on our contact page. Terry responds directly, usually the same day. He’ll ask about your home size, what needs moving, any stairs or elevators, and your move date. From there he gives you a rate and a realistic time estimate.

Do you require a deposit? +

Talk to Terry directly about deposit requirements when you book. He handles scheduling personally and will walk you through what’s needed to hold your date.

Scheduling & Availability
How far in advance do I need to book? +

The more notice the better, especially during busy months like May, June, and August. That said, we’ve handled moves booked 48 hours out and even same-day when situations come up. Call Terry and tell him what you’re working with. He’ll be straight with you about whether it’s doable.

Do you move on weekends? +

Yes. We are available Monday through Sunday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Weekend availability fills up faster, so if your move date is on a Saturday or Sunday, reach out sooner rather than later.

What if my move date changes? +

Call Terry as soon as you know. He handles scheduling personally and will work with you to find a new date. The earlier you let him know, the easier it is to adjust.

Move Day
Who will show up to my move? +

Experienced employees who have been with In or Out Movers for three or more years. We do not use day labor or subcontractors. The crew that shows up has done this many times and knows what they’re doing. Terry coordinates every job personally.

Do you wrap furniture? +

Yes. Moving blankets and shrink wrap go on furniture before it leaves the room. We don’t wait until we get to the truck. Mirrors, glass, and fragile items get wrapped without being asked. That’s just how we work.

Do you disassemble and reassemble furniture? +

Yes, for standard furniture like bed frames. Talk to Terry when you book about anything unusually complex so the crew knows what to expect and comes prepared.

What should I do to prepare for move day? +

Have boxes packed and sealed before the crew arrives. Label boxes with the destination room. Clear a path from the rooms being moved to the front door. Disconnect any appliances ahead of time. If you have an elevator or HOA move-in window, confirm that reservation before move day and share the details with Terry.

The crew works efficiently from the moment they arrive. The more prepared your home is, the smoother the move goes and the less time it takes.

What about moving in Arizona heat? +

We are used to it. Summer moves in the SE Valley mean we start early, stage in shade wherever possible, and pace the crew to keep them working safely and efficiently. We’ve been doing this for twenty years in Arizona. The heat doesn’t slow us down, it just means we plan for it.

Services
Do you do long-distance moves? +

No. In or Out Movers handles local moves within the Southeast Valley: Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Scottsdale, Tempe, Queen Creek, and Southeast Phoenix. We stay in the area we know so we can do each move well.

Do you move apartments? +

Yes. Apartment to apartment, apartment to house, house to apartment. We handle stairs, elevator scheduling, parking logistics, and move-in windows. If you have a short-notice apartment situation, call Terry and tell him what you’re working with.

Do you handle senior moves? +

Yes, and this is work we take seriously. Seniors moving from a longtime family home, downsizing, or transitioning to a new community need a crew that is patient and careful. We don’t rush. Every item gets treated with care regardless of what it’s worth. Family is welcome to be present on move day.

Do you do office moves? +

Yes, for small offices: desks, chairs, filing cabinets, boxes, and standard office furniture. We are not set up for large corporate IT relocations or heavy equipment. If you have a small office that needs to move, we can handle it. Call Terry to walk through the details.

Can you make a donation drop-off during the move? +

Yes. If you have items you want to donate rather than move, we can make a stop at a local donation center as part of your move. Just let Terry know ahead of time so the crew can plan the route accordingly.

Do you provide packing services or boxes? +

We bring all the padding, blankets, and shrink wrap needed to protect your furniture. For boxes and packing your personal belongings, that is typically handled by the customer before move day. If you have questions about how to prepare, Terry can walk you through it when you call.

Trust & Experience
How long has In or Out Movers been in business? +

Since 2005. Terry Miller founded In or Out Movers and has been running it out of Chandler for over twenty years. That kind of longevity in a competitive market comes from doing the job right and treating customers fairly.

What if something gets damaged? +

We take care of your belongings and our track record reflects that. Furniture is wrapped before it moves, items are treated as fragile, and the crew is experienced enough to know how to handle tight spaces and difficult pieces. If a concern comes up, contact Terry directly and he will address it personally.

Can I talk to Terry before I book? +

Yes. Terry answers the phone. Call (480) 466-2754 and you will get a real person, not an automated system. He is happy to answer questions before you commit to anything.

Still Have a Question?
